Before preaching Christianity to the pagan kings of the Emerald Isle, teenage Patrick was captured by Irish pirates and taken as a slave to Ireland. After years of slavery he managed to escape on a boat and headed back to his family in Britain. These intense life experiences brought Patrick closer to god. Patrick and God were so close in fact that when challenged to wizard duels by various kings and their court “druids” Patrick could always depend on God for one-upmanship and the occasional smiting.
Each piece makes the journey from dirt to final glaze in our Atlanta studio.
