The ginkgo tree is known for its remarkable resilience, particularly in the context of the Hiroshima atomic bombing. Six ginkgo trees were among the few living things to survive within a short radius of the blast site in 1945, and they are still standing today. These trees, now referred to as "A-bombed trees" or hibakujumoku, are monuments to both humanity's capacity for destruction and nature's ability to withstand it. One such ginkgo tree at Anraku-ji Temple in Hiroshima, located 2,160 meters from the hypocenter, had its branches burned away by the bombing, but the trunk remained, and new buds grew from it in the following year.

Our pieces are always lead free, food safe and in this case, is not microwave friendly due to the 22K gold features. Please wash by hand to ensure a long life!
